Sometimes, you may want to use a
Sort function question to insert large concepts into a series of branching
questions. Unfortunately, when SurveyWriter records answers from a function
question, it stores only 500 characters in the data base. When branching, your
answers from a function question may cut off part of the concept if the answer
labels are larger than 500 characters. One way to get around this is to use
the LTEXT Variable in the header area of the branching question.
|LTEXT(Q_ID,\*BRANCHCODE\)|
where
LTEXT indicates that we
are pulling in the answer label directly from SurveyWriter's main data base
question table.
Q_ID is the ID of the
question from which to pull the label, FSort, for example.
\*BRANCHCODE\ tells
SurveyWriter to pull the label text at the code of the current branch.
